the kids make...
Today, Im totally blown away at who my children are. I mean, a mother usually knows here children in her heart. But to see what you know about them, manifest in the way of the world is just breath taking.
Yesterday was a day where I had found my littlest boy tagging along side of me, taking an interest in what I do around the house. Its amazing at how natural he was at washing dishes. He loved participating in that activity and did it as though he had know all along what to do. I was so amazed at the level of innate capacity he had in this act. He dove into this act (on his own), and figured out how to do the job without my help, finding his own rhythm.
Small children are so full of divergent thinking . Its a quality that is not only disintegrating within the public education system, but something that isn't seen as beneficial to our mainstream society. It is this very act of natural intelligence, that I witness my children unfold in their everyday creativity, that just blows me away. I want to nurture that quality in my children. I truly believe that it is the very essence of living a meaningful and happy life. Or I should say that, I do believe that to be true for our family.
Watching Nico take up dishwashing was nothing short of simple joy to witness.
Then later that evening, Macie found a tomato shaped like a heart. *so cool*
I suggested she photograph it.
I didn't realize the level at which she creatively picked up my camera until this morning when I downloaded what was on there to the computer. Just astounding!
Im blown away, again!
Children, I swear it, are the adults best teachers. They show very little inhibitions, very little concerns for what others think and so very much about translating what they see and feel within them. They are my little buddhas, my little channels of the divine.
Today, I am so absolutely grateful that I have taken notice of my children's acts of beauty.
Grateful, honored, and most humbly reminded of the world that can become our reality.

It is so fun to watch them "unfold."
